Paris Saint-Germain play their third Ligue 1 match of the season on Friday when they go to Brest in what does not seem like it will be Lionel Messi's debut for the club. The Argentine attacker, who signed on a free transfer from FC Barcelona this month, has been practicing with the team after being introduced to the home fans at the Parc des Princes on Saturday.

"We haven't decided the squad yet but we will do so shortly," PSG Mauricio Pochettino told reporters in Thursday's press conference.

"We will analyze whether he can be in the squad. In terms of what Lionel Messi brings, everybody knows that. His presence here in terms of what he represents is something we have talked about a lot in recent days.

"I am pleased with how he has settled in and how he has connected with squad. When you have talent at this sort of club, the understanding is not just in the dressing room but also on the pitch."

It has been reported by Le Parisen and ESPN, along with other outlets, that Mess will not travel with the squad with just two games before the international break. In the meantime, here are the key storylines, how you can watch the match and much more:

Storylines

Brest: Two draws to kick off the season leaves them in decent shape when you consider they flirted with relegation last season. A point is a point in the end, and they'll be happy to get one here if they can against the favorites to win everything. In order to do that, the attack is going to have to score more than the goal a game it averages. While PSG has played down to competition regularly in Ligue 1, Brest will need a top performance and a little luck on the side to get something from it.

PSG: Let's be honest here: All eyes are on Messi and whether or not he steps onto the field and plays. We're all waiting to see him dazzle with his close friends Neymar, Angel Di Maria and new teammate Kylian Mbappe. That is it, really. While PSG should have no problem winning without some of their big stars, once Messi does play, it will be a monumental day as it will mark his first ever club match not in the Blaugrana colors of Barcelona. What seems more likely is a cameo next week for him to ease into things.
