Now, the Grammy Award-winning artist has finally confirmed the record’s launch date. Taking to Instagram, Drake posted the album’s official artwork designed by British contemporary artist Damien Hirst. The cover features 12 “Pregnant Woman” emojis in different skin tones.
On “Betrayal,” Drake rapped “All these fools I’m beefin’ that I barely know/Forty-five, 44 (Burned out), let it go/Ye ain’t changin’ shit for me, it’s set in stone,” as quoted by Genius. His lyrics appeared to reignite a simmering beef with Kanye West. Notably, the ever-changing iTunes pre-order page for West’s new album Donda lists a September 5 release date.

Certified Lover Boy drops this Friday, September 3 after a nine-month delay caused in part by Drake's leg injury. It's out almost a week after the release of Donda, Kanye West's tenth studio album, which dropped as Drake and Kanye reignited their feud.
Drake fans have been waiting for a new album for a couple years now, with scarcely any teasers to whet their whistles. Back in January, Drizzy kept them waiting by pushing back the original release date of his new LP, Certified Lover Boy, to an unknown date.
